How to Make Gold with Alchemy: Potion Specialization

In this guide I am going over how to make gold using the Potion Specialization for Alchemy. To start off, you need to make sure you have the Potion Specialization from Lauranna Thar'well in Zangarmarsh. Also make sure that you have your Alchemy leveled to 525.

Also be sure to have the Auctionator and Postal Addons. These will make things a whole lot easier when selling your potions.

Also, don't forget to use your daily CD of Truegold and Living Elements. I recommend Living Elements, but selling your Truegold CD in trade can be profitable as well. For Living Elements, make sure you go to the correct are for the most profitable volatile

Uldum: Volatile Air 
Mount Hyjal: Volatile Fire 
Vashj'ir: Volatile Water 
Deepholm: Volatile Earth


Next, you need to buy all of your mats for the potions you will be making. Below I am going to list some of the most profitable potions, but you can create whatever you would like. 


My favorite potion is Potion of Treasure Finding. These sell great, and they can be fun to use on yourself as well. I also create Volcanic Potions, Golemblood Potions, and Potion of the Tol'Vir.


Potion of Treasure Finding Mats:


Cinderbloom x8
Stormvine x4
Heartblossom x6
Whiptail x4
Crystal Vial 


Volcanic Potion Mats:
Cinderbloom x1
Azshara's Veil x1
Crystal Vial

Golemblood Potion Mats:
Volatile Life x1
Heartblossom x1
Crystal Vial

Potion of the Tol'Vir Mats:
Stormvine x 1
Whiptail x1 
Crystal Vial


After everything is all said and done, you should have made a good heap of gold. The real money is in the procs, which is pure profit. The best time to sell these potions is on Wednesday-Sunday because that is when most Guilds raid heavily. 


As far as competition goes, potion specialization is the lowest of the Alchemy specs, and in my experience is more profitable than elixer(flask) specialization, but less profitable than Transmute specialization.
